SCRAPFLY ALTERNATIVE
Scrapfly's Startup plan and our Growth plan are both the most popular tier on each platform. Scrapfly's own docs show rendering and residential proxies add credits on top of the base cost, here they don't.
At the popular tier on each platform, this API costs $129/mo for 1,800,000 credits ($0.072/1K) versus Scrapfly's Startup at $250/mo for 2,500,000 credits ($0.10/1K). Scrapfly's own billing docs show a datacenter request with browser rendering costs 6 credits (1 base + 5 for rendering), and residential proxies cost 25 credits (30 with rendering); here, rendering and anti-bot bypass never add to the base request cost. Starting is cheaper here too ($10 PAYG vs $30/mo). Scrapfly does have genuine standalone Extraction, Cloud Browser, and Crawler API products we don't match.
| ScrapeBadger Growth | Scrapfly Startup | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | $129/mo | $250/mo |
| Credits | 1,800,000 | 2,500,000 |
| Per 1,000 credits | $0.072 | $0.10 |
| Datacenter + browser render | +0 credits (included) | 1 + 5 = 6 credits |
| Residential proxy + render | +0 credits (included) | 25 + 5 = 30 credits |
| Entry price | $10 PAYG, no subscription | $30/mo |
Credit-cost figures for Scrapfly sourced from their own billing docs (scrapfly.io/docs/scrape-api/billing), verified September 2026.
Scrapfly has a genuine standalone Extraction API (LLM-driven, prompt + JSON schema), a Cloud Browser product (remote Chromium via Playwright, Puppeteer, Selenium, or CDP), and a dedicated Crawler API for site-wide traversal, three distinct products we don't have clear equivalents for. Their entry tier is also cheaper in absolute dollars ($30 vs $49), even though we work out cheaper per credit once you're at the popular tier on each platform, and rendering never multiplies your cost here the way it does on Scrapfly.
Being honest about fit: this isn't a one-sided page.
Social, e-commerce, real estate, travel, search engines, app stores, and AI answer engines, not just raw HTML.
Cloudflare, DataDome, Akamai, Imperva, PerimeterX, Kasada, bypassed automatically, no surcharge.
Residential IPs, geo-targeted, included on every plan including PAYG.
Connect Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, and other MCP-compatible agents using existing credits.
"ScrapeBadger completely removed that overhead. The endpoints return clean, structured JSON, the MCP integration fits naturally into agentic setups, and the reliability has been rock solid."
"I've been using ScrapeBadger primarily to scrape Reddit data, and it has been an excellent solution. It's one of the most affordable scraping tools on the market while still delivering reliable performance."
"The advanced_search API was pretty straightforward to work with. The documentation is clear, the cursor-based pagination is predictable, and I like that the credit system is easy to understand."
The plan compared above, alongside the two tiers around it.
At the popular tier on each platform, yes per credit ($0.072/1K here vs $0.10/1K on Scrapfly Startup). But Scrapfly's entry tier is cheaper in absolute dollars ($30 vs $49), so which is "cheaper" depends on whether you're optimizing for entry cost or volume pricing.
Scrapfly's own billing docs show a plain datacenter-proxy request costs 1 credit, but adding browser rendering brings it to 6 credits (1+5), and residential proxies cost 25 credits on their own, 30 with rendering. A workload that needs rendering or residential proxies burns through Scrapfly's headline credit allowance much faster than the raw number suggests; here those features don't add to the base cost.
Scrapfly has three genuine standalone products we don't match: an LLM-driven Extraction API (prompt + JSON schema), a Cloud Browser product (remote Chromium via Playwright/Puppeteer/Selenium/CDP), and a Crawler API for site-wide traversal. If you need any of those specifically, Scrapfly is the better fit for that piece of the workload.
Migrating means swapping the base URL and API key, then dropping any Scrapfly-specific rendering or proxy-tier parameters (like ASP) since those don't multiply cost here. If you rely on Scrapfly's Extraction API, Cloud Browser, or Crawler API specifically, check the docs for the closest equivalent before switching.
Success rate depends heavily on the target site and how well its specific anti-bot system is handled. Neither provider publishes an independently audited success-rate benchmark we can cite here: test both against your actual target sites during the free trial before committing.
If your workload relies on JavaScript rendering, the comparison isn't just the per-credit rate: it's whether rendering adds a surcharge at all. Scrapfly's ASP anti-bot feature dynamically upgrades proxy tier on top of the +5 rendering credits; here, rendering and anti-bot bypass are both included at no extra cost.
